Our range of refrigerant gases can be used for transport, commercial and industrial air conditioning and refrigeration.
R134a is an extremely common refrigerant used in a wide range of refrigeration and air conditioning applications, including medium and high temperature refrigeration (both domestic and commercial), residential & light air conditioning, automotive air conditioning and industrial applications such as centrifugal chillers. It is also a common component in many HFC refrigerant blends and is used in some propellant applications.

R404A is an HFC blend that is widely used in low and medium temperature refrigeration applications, such as those used in commercial refrigeration. Whilst it has become the widely accepted alternative to CFC R502, R404A is coming under greater scrutiny due to its high Global Warming Potential, leading to an increased focus on lower GWP alternatives such as R407A, R407F and R442A.

R407C is an HFC blend designed to have similar properties to R22 in air conditioning systems. R407C is suitable for residential & light air conditioning and direct expansion air conditioning systems. It is also used in medium temperature refrigeration systems.

R407F, also known as Genetron® PERFORMAX™ LT, is an HFC blend that is suitable for use in low and medium temperature refrigeration applications such as those used in commercial refrigeration. It is an ideal retrofit solution for many existing R404A systems, offering a substantially lower carbon footprint due to its lower GWP and improved energy efficiency.

R410A is an HFC blend designed for new R22 applications. It operates at higher pressures than many other refrigerants, and so cannot be used to retrofit R22 systems. Systems designed for R410A can take advantage of its ability to use smaller components, making it a key refrigerant for domestic and light air conditioning equipment. R410A's low glide also makes it suitable for some centrifugal compressors, and it can operate in low temperature applications.

R417A, also known as FREON™(Isceon) MO59, is an HFC retrofit refrigerant for R22 in direct expansion stationary air conditioning (AC) and medium temperature commercial refrigeration systems.

R422D, also known as FREON™(Isceon) MO29, is an HFC blend designed to be a simple "drop-in" retrofit replacement for R22 in many refrigeration and air conditioning applications, including low and medium temperature direct expansion (DX) refrigeration applications, commercial supermarket systems, stationary DX air conditioning applications and DX water chillers. R422D contains a small amount of hydrocarbon to help ensure oil return in systems containing MO or AB lubricants.

R427A, also known as Forane® 427A, is an HFC blend developed by Arkema as a simplified retrofit solution for R22 installations in a large range of applications. It can be used to retrofit low, medium and high temperature refrigeration equipment as well as air-conditioning installations.

R407A is an HFC blend that is suitable for use in low and medium temperature refrigeration applications, such as those used in commercial refrigeration.

R507A is an HFC blend designed to be a replacement for R502 in low and medium temperature refrigeration applications. It is similar in characteristics to R404A however, being an azeotropic blend, R507A does not suffer from glide or fractionation making it suitable for additional applications such as centrifugal compressors.

R32 is increasingly gaining favour as a low temperature refrigerant and as a replacement gas in some R410A applications. R32 has a low GWP, providing a lower carbon footprint than most other HFCs.

Ammonia has been used in industrial applications since the 1930s and is generally acknowledged as being the most efficient refrigerant. It has a low boiling point and is favoured because it is a highly energy efficient refrigerant which also has minimal environmental impact, having zero ODP (Ozone Depletion Potential) and zero GWP (Global Warming Potential).

R744 is environmentally friendly, having zero ODP (Ozone Depletion Potential) and minimal GWP (Global Warming Potential). It also has excellent thermodynamic properties and low energy usage making it suitable for a range of applications such as industrial heat extraction, chilled warehousing, shipping vessels, commercial refrigeration, and mobile air conditioning. One major difference between R744 and other refrigerants is its pressure/temperature characteristic: because of its high pressure and low critical temperature, refrigeration systems require special equipment designs.

R170 is refrigerant grade ethane. It is a natural, or "not in kind" refrigerant suitable for use in very low temperature refrigeration applications. R170 is non-toxic with zero ODP (Ozone Depletion Potential) and very low GWP (Global Warming Potential). It is a flammable refrigerant and therefore not suitable for retrofitting existing fluorocarbon refrigerant systems.

R1150 is refrigerant grade ethylene (ethene), a natural, or "not in kind", refrigerant suitable for use in very low temperature refrigeration applications, such as those found in LNG liquefaction processes. R1150 is non-toxic, with zero ODP (Ozone Depletion Potential) and very low GWP (Global Warming Potential). It is a flammable refrigerant and therefore not suitable for retrofitting existing fluorocarbon refrigerant systems.

R600a is refrigerant grade Isobutane, a natural, or "not in kind", refrigerant suitable for use in a range of refrigeration applications. The use of R600a is increasing due to its low environmental impact and excellent thermodynamic performance and it is now the refrigerant gas of choice in domestic and small commercial refrigerators. It is non-toxic with zero ODP (Ozone Depletion Potential) and very low GWP (Global Warming Potential).

R290 is refrigerant grade propane, a natural, or "not in kind", refrigerant suitable for use in a range of refrigeration and air conditioning applications. The use of R290 is increasing due to its low environmental impact and excellent thermodynamic performance. It is non-toxic with zero ODP (Ozone Depletion Potential) and very low GWP (Global Warming Potential). It is a flammable refrigerant and therefore not suitable for retrofitting existing fluorocarbon refrigerant systems.

R1270 is refrigerant grade propylene (propene), a natural, or "not in kind", refrigerant suitable for use in low and medium temperature refrigeration applications. It is non-toxic, with zero ODP (Ozone Depletion Potential) and very low GWP (Global Warming Potential). R1270 is a flammable refrigerant and therefore not suitable for retrofitting existing fluorocarbon refrigerant systems.
